There are a plethora of films to choose from this Friday. Firstly, if you've caught the horror bug after seeing Us last week, you can catch Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer's Pet Sematary, the second film adaption of Stephen King's novel of the same name which follows a family who discover something horrific about the local pet cemetery. Making the film into a horror is American composer Christopher Young who has previously composed scores for Deliver Us From Evil (2014), The Single Moms Club (2014) and Killing Season (2013).
If you're looking for something more family-friendly, then check out the latest superhero film Shazam!. Scoring this story of a 14-year-old who can turn into an adult superhero at a word is Benjamin Wallfisch who worked on the score for Blade Runner 2014 (2017) with Hans Zimmer as well as Serenity (2019) and It (2017). The soundtrack is not currently available.
On the Western side of the spectrum is Jacques Audiard's The Sisters Brothers starring John C. Reilly, Joaquin Phoenix and Jake Gyllenhaal as a gold prospector is chased by assassins. The comedy adventure is underscored by the Oscar-winning composer Alexandre Desplat who you may know for his scores for Isle of Dogs (2018), The Shape of Water (2017) and The Danish Girl (2015).
Another family-friendly addition to the big screen is Chris Butler's Missing Link which follows Mr Link who embarks on an adventure to find his long lost relatives. Starring the voices of Hugh Jackman, Emma Thompson and Zach Galifianakis, the animation is scored by Carter Burwell who has worked on a number of blockbusters including Goodbye Christopher Robin (2017), Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) and Legend (2015). The soundtrack is not currently available.
And last but not least, adding some romance to the equation is Marcus H. Rosenmüller's The Keeper. This biographical drama follows the controversial story of German prisoner of war Bert Trautmann as he falls in love with an English woman and is signed by Manchester City football club shortly after the war. The forbidden romance and subsequent drama is underscored by German composer Gerd Baumann who has previously worked on a number of German films such as Sooner or Later (2018), Gaming Instinct (2013) and My Beautiful Country (2012). The soundtrack is not currently available.

Sticking with the Amazon-Prime-superhero theme, also out on Friday is the second series of Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger. Starring Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt as two loved-up teenagers who wake up with super powers, the action adventure is scored by prolific composer Mark Isham who you may know for his work on Once Upon a Time (2011-2018), Black Mirror (2017) and The Accountant (2016).
If your prefer Netflix over Amazon Prime, then the second series of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is coming to the UK version on Friday.
