This Friday is a big night for the big screen with three notable releases coming to UK cinemas. The first of which is Clint Eastwood's latest work as director, The Mule. The story of an elderly Korean war veteran caught working for the Mexican drug cartel is underscored by jazz musician and composer Arturo Sandoval. The soundtrack is not currently available.
Also out on Friday is Adam McKay's latest feature starring Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Steve Carell, Vice. The story of the Vice President to George W. Bush is underscored by Nicholas Britell. Britell was nominated for an Oscar in 2017 for the legendary Moonlight (2016) and was recently nominated for a BAFTA for If Beale Street Could Talk (2018). Judging by his previous success, this score should be note-worthy.
The final film out on Friday is Karyn Kusama's Destroyer, the story of a police detective and her search for peace, starring Nicole Kidman. American composer Theodore Shapiro has taken the musical helm who is known for scores for such films as Collateral Beauty (2016), Ghostbusters (2016) and Central Intelligence (2016).
